CHOOSE TO TREASURE

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We make jewelry
from the earth, for the earth.

Fine jewelry has a footprint. We measure it, publish it, and actively invest in restoring the ecosystems that inspire every piece we make. Not as compensation — as commitment.

IMPACT IN NUMBERS

What we've done so far

Since founding Studio IRIS, we have tracked every gram of COâ‚‚ our studio produces, from the solder torch to the shipping box. Here is where we stand today.

We are not there yet. But we measure everything we could, publish it all, and actively invest in getting closer.

MATERIALS

Sourced with intention

Every material choice is a decision. Here is how we make ours.

  • We work with a Dutch casting partner whose fine gold consists of approximately 97% recycled material, sourced recycled metal suppliers in Europe. No new mining. No conflict materials.

  • We work exclusively with natural diamonds and gemstones. Our diamonds comply with the Kimberley Process. Coloured stones are selected based on provenance and ethical sourcing.

  • Do you have heirloom gold that no longer reflects who you are? We can melt it into a new piece — giving old memories a new form. Contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Knowing is the first step, taking responsibility is our next.

MADE-TO-ORDER

We only make what is asked for

Every piece is crafted exclusively upon your request. No overproduction. No stock collecting dust. No waste from pieces that were never meant to exist.

Your jewel is made to your exact size and specification, with a delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks. That is not a delay — that is the time it takes to do this properly.

WE BELIEVE IN TRANSPARENCY

Where we are still growing

We are honest about the limits of our current knowledge. Our supply chain is not perfect, no jewelry supply chain is. We are actively working to improve traceability, expand our recycled material sourcing, and deepen our understanding of every step between earth and studio. We welcome questions, input, and dialogue. This is a journey, not a destination.

This is where we stand now:

  • Manufacturing fine jewelry inevitably releases greenhouse gases (CO2eq), as processes from soldering to polishing all have an environmental impact.

  • To hold ourselves accountable, we quantify our emissions by following the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol.

  • Learn precisely how Studio-IRIS jewelry measures and compensates for its carbon footprint as we actively work toward our goal: becoming the first CO2-neutral fine jewelry brand.

  • Transparency in Every Purchase: All bought pieces come with an impact report, outlining the specific environmental footprint and the compensation efforts made for your unique jewel.
